Hotel Santiago

The hotel is located in an exclusive residential area close to major shopping malls and exclusive golf clubs. The main ski resorts and spas in the central area can be reached from the hotel in about 1 hour. The hotel also has easy access to the centre of Santiago and to the airport.
Facilities
The hotel features 310 accommodation units. Guests of the hotel are welcomed in the lobby, which has a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service. The upper floors are easily accessible using the lift. Amenities include a cloakroom, a safe and currency exchange facilities. Internet access and wireless internet access are available in the public areas. Gastronomic options include a restaurant, a dining area, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can buy holiday mementos from the souvenir shop. Shopping facilities are available. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and an attractive garden. A playroom is also among the amenities at the hotel. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park. Additional services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry and a hairdressing salon. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.
Rooms
All rooms feature air conditioning, central heating and a bathroom. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. A balcony or terrace can be found in most rooms, offering additional comfort. Each accommodation unit features a double bed or a king-size bed. Cots are available for children. A safe, a minibar and a desk also feature. The kitchenette features tea and coffee making equipment. Internet access, a telephone, a TV, a radio and a stereo system are provided as standard. Some of the accommodation units are wheelchair-accessible. In each of the bathrooms, guests will find a shower, a bathtub and a hairdryer.
Sports/Entertainment
A refreshing dip in the indoor or outdoor pool can be pleasantly cooling on hot days. A terrace, sun loungers and parasols are available. The hot tub offers revitalisation. The poolside bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. For those wishing to enjoy some exercise, tennis and golf are offered onsite. A gym, pool/billiards and gymnastics are some of the sports and leisure options available at the hotel. Various wellness options are offered, including a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon and massage treatments. A disco provides entertainment.
Meals
Various meals and board options are bookable. Guests can choose from breakfast, lunch, dinner and B & B. Special meals, including special dietary cuisine, are available. Special deals can be enjoyed at the hotel.

NOTE: Grand Hyatt Santiago (“Hotel”) will be undergoing a brand change effective on or around July 31, 11:59pm local time. Hyatt will no longer be affiliated with the Hotel and the name of the Hotel will have changed.
On August 1, 2017 the Mandarin Oriental chain will operate the property under the name "Hotel Santiago", as part of the transition of the brand. This transition will take a year and then the hotel will start operating as Mandarin Oriental Santiago on August 1, 2018. During this transition period Mr. Robert Lowe, who currently holds the position of General Manager at Mandarin Oriental Miami, has been appointed the same position at "Hotel Santiago".
The tentative dates of planned reforms are as follows: June 1, as planned before will begin the renovation of half of the hotel, which will be held behind closed doors. The area to be renovated will be completely closed down, as has been done to date. It should be noted that during the entire remodeling process, the hotel will be fully operational, as the public areas will not be affected. The working hours will be: from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturdays 9 AM to 2 PM.
In February 2018 work will begin in the public areas of the property and we will be able to provide timely information about the schedule once we have received the information of the new operator.

IMPORTANT NOTE
The hotel will undergo renovation of the guestrooms and some facilities until further notice. There may be noise/visual disturbance.
Rates exclude 19% VAT, payable at the hotel under Chilean law. Foreign guests staying under 90 days may be exempt if they meet the requirements for tourist status. The Mandarin Oriental Santiago is a Tourist hotel. The nightlife/restaurants are located in the hotel.
